On Saturday, June 5, 1999, Smoky Mountain Recording was honored to play a major role in the First Annual Women's Basketball Hall of Fame Induction ceremony in Knoxville, Tennessee at it's new headquarters.

The theme song for the ceremony, which was chosen as the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame theme song, is entitled They Play On. The song was written by Planet Nashville Music LLC President, Greg Alexander, and was produced at Planet Nashville Music LLC Studios in Sevierville, Tennessee.

The Master of Ceremonies during the evening was Robin Roberts of ESPN. Also in attendance was Pat Summitt, head coach for the Lady Vols at UT. The entire evening was an incredible experience for Smoky Mountain Recording Company and for all who participated.
